CLOSED [Ven & Namine]

The wind tugged at Namine’s dress and hair while her chin tilted up towards the starry sky. She’d never thought she’d see anything like it again, she wasn’t mean to exist, and yet here she stood, watching the stars.

At first, she didn’t know how to feel about her situation but over time, and getting to know Ven, she realized that was happy. She felt like she had a chance to live for herself and not just as an extension of someone else. There were moments when she looked at Ven and saw Sora or Roxas, they were all connected, but Ven was still himself and unlike anyone that she’s ever met. He had a light inside of him and while she envied that light, she was happy to be near it. It was beautiful in a way that couldn’t be spoken with words. Perhaps if she got better at drawing she might one day be able to explain how bright Ven was.

Namine felt herself smiling without realizing that the expression had taken command of her lips. Ven always made her smile even on the days that she didn’t want too. Now she waited, her heart beating a little too quickly and a little too loudly against her ribcage.

Ven was supposed to meet her here to watch the stars and she was finally prepared to tell him the three scariest words there were: I love you.
